| Stuck-Up Bowls - Fenton made very few bowls that were heat attached to a metal ring attached to a pole for finishing. This process requires that the base be ground smooth after being removed (tapped free) from the metal ring. Most of Fenton's plates are stuck-up and ground pieces but few of their bowls were done this way. Surprisingly, some of the larger pieces were stuck up! |

| Footed Bowls - these can be found with a "collar" foot - a raised round rim; a "pedestal" foot which looks like a comport, but Fenton called these "low footed" bowls; and leg-like or toe-like feet, usually three, but occasionally four. The #250 fern bowl has a ground marie (a small knob that was held in a snap for finishing, but was eventually ground off leaving a mark that looks like a pontil!); and the #1562 and #1663 bowls have four elongate ground off feet. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
