U.S. Glass Comports
US Glass made a considerable number of comports (they used "comport" in catalog pages rather than "compote"). In several of their lines, they commonly used the terms "high footed" and "low footed" to indicate the length of the foot stem. To make things a bit more confusing, in the #151 line, catalog pages refer to an 8-inch Frappe Bowl which used the same mold as the 9-inch low footed comport! Some other companies cataloged items that U.S. Glass calls "low footed comports" as "footed bowls" which adds to collector's confusion!
