US Glass Vases

US Glass made a considerable range of vases from their #151 line, two sizes with a flat rim above the foot and two sizes with a rounded rim. Each of these were usually flared, flattened or cupped. They also made vases from the wide footed #179 mold which look like bowls. These come in two sizes and are usually flared or hat shaped (widely flared with a flat rim), and occasionally crimped. There are also vases made in the #310 line including the smaller open work vase which can be found in a fan vase, rolled rim or pulled up rim.

U.S. Glass "cylinder vases" in opaques are fairly obtainable but we have no documented record of what US Glass called these. All appear to have been produced in a shell mold or they could have been blown molded in a paste mold. This would account for the considerable range in base sizes seen. Paste molds would also explain the lack of mold marks. Since they all have some grinding on the bottom rims, there is no way to determine if they were stuck up in some manner.
